DESCRIPTION
Hakaeb is the original dramatic soundtrack composed and arranged by Karim Thlibi for the acclaimed theatrical play of the same name. Written by Youssef Al Bahri and directed by Jaafar El Guesmi, the piece was first performed on October 7, 2009, at the Fourth Art Hall in the Tunisian capital, under the banner of the National Theater.
The music flows as an emotional thread throughout the play, portraying fragmented identities, lost paths, and inner turmoil. With sweeping orchestral textures and cinematic intensity, each track evokes a psychological echo of the characters’ struggles—internal and collective.
This album stands as a milestone in modern Tunisian theater music, where composition becomes both narration and emotion. Hakaeb is more than a soundtrack—it is a memory in motion.
